Those are wild roos? Won't they rip your face off or something?

Spectacular place.

XL > These have been hand feed (not recommended) so are tolerant of humans. But not of being chased mercilessly by a 7, 5, 4 and 3 year old into a corner. Their MO is to disembowel or drown.

UTE > Thanks. Love Skip too, goes well with a strong red and crisp veggies. That's my beast. I'll do a post on it soon.

Yeah, they are inch and a bit long bull ants - I think these are Myrmecia gulosa. The biggest of the big, aggressive jumping bastards.

Yeah, we did the walking thing. We were there one particularly hot and humid January and were treated to one of the best storms I've ever seen. On the horizon, thunder, lightning, wind, the whole bit. Fucking awesome night, that one.

Welcome Mercury. I have a long standing fantasy to travel SA, Africa in general.
Mind tho' that this friendship will be put on hold during the rugby.

Smack > 'tis nice. We are spoiled here arn't we :-)

Jen > There is a lot of sky visible from those headlands I can imagine

Rugby.. Yes, The World Cup, Beating The Lions, The Tri Nations, The Mandela Trophy, beating The All Blacks.. all highlights.. :) Bokke on top. :)
We are now on the way to Europe on tour.. Hoping for a clean sweep.

I hosted the English Rugby management team when they were in Durban.. Would be my pleasure to host you if you visited.

"inch ant"

Shouldn't that be 2.5 cm ant?

Just noticed the baby roo in the pouch in pix PA300200!

It seems Terry Pratchett wasn't entirely accurate in his portrayal of Australia. Odd.

In other news, I've never been much of a nature buff but... omg want. Seriously, nature has no right to be this pretty.
