Get this - I've been at work 1 week after being away for 24 weeks and they want me to take some leave, aparently I have accumulated 280hrs
Go figure.

great! Consider taking every Monday off, or every Friday until the leave is balanced.
That way, every week, you have a short week. Stretches out that stress relief for a long time and enables you to take long weekends/holidays with the family.
I'm thinking of doing exactly that
