The older I get the better I was

I'll be out a here for more than a week, looking vainly for some of the white stuff.
In the mean time feel free to be mean to me about my looks/hair/gut/bleached hair/bald head etc. I've uploaded a bunch of nostalgic photos; some old black and whites mum gave me, some of my climbing days and, well heaps of random stuff. I'll organise it one day, but here it is on flickr for you.

Snow

And just in time. Due to a number of factors my initial peek season holidays were denied. Trying to find weeks that fitted in with my work, Alex being in Australia and get baby sitting for Adrian only left two bad options. It was either the third week of the season or the last. We rolled the snow dice and opted for the former.
Good snow fell about 6 weeks ago but that all but melted.
Yesterday the snow cams looking up the mountain showed grass with a few pathetic puddles of man made snow huddles beneath the stanchions. Hers a photo from three days ago.

Pretending to be a man

Last weekend I got to pretend to be a man and play with power tools.

With my own two little hands (and copious assistance - actually he did most of the work - from brother in law, Diego) I built and attached a baseboard into the back of the $X$ and mounted a fridge slide for the car fridge.

Whoo wee - now I can have cold beer when I go camping.

First Aid Course

Did the senior first aid course last week. Over the years I've done several but my ticket has expired and had to be renewed. Most of the techniques are unchanged with the exception of CPR which has been simplified, oh - and defibrillators are now part of the syllabus - cool.
