Oooooh a MacBook Pro? Very nice! Is it an IntelCore? If so the vmware tinkering potential is huge :)
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Mike
It is. I already have XP set up within parallels. I'll get ubuntu set up within a few days. I'm currently, well as of up to yesterday using Ubuntu as my work machine but open office was not playing well with the office documents that people were sending me. So, perversely - I'm using a Mac so that I can use M$ office. Witout of course having to move away from a command line if I need one.
The interface is very different and will take a bit of getting used to.
First: install firefox
Then parrallels
Sync iCal with google so that it subscribes to my calenders
now I'm trying to get iCal to syc by-directionally with Google calenders and get all my old mail over onto the new machine
Welcome to the world of Mac. There is no looking back!
Before long, you'll be wondering why you dallied with the impostors for so long... ;)
Looking stylish indeed. I need to get me one of those. Now I'll know when I see a hit on my blog from Sydney saying the user is on a Mac who it must be.
Parallels? Try VMware Fusion much better performance.
You can trust me Steve, I'm Vmware Certified!

Ok, yes , you look cool, but show us a pic of you with it first :)
You're my hero.
Welcome to the MacBook Pro Club!
I know you'll love it... all the power & stability, without the problems of MS (except when you're using MS software)
Enjoy!!!
Nerd.
(jealous...sorry)
