When Australia and New Zealand merge

I'm quite looking froward to the impending merger of Australia and new Zealand. There will of course have to be some concessions on both sides to make it a reality. Australia will have to stop caliming as it's own anything remotely internationally recognisable from the future state of New Zealand (Farlap, Crowed House, Russell Crow) and the Kiwis will have to give up talking in that silly accent.
I am looking forward to Aussie Rules becoming the national sport over there but I am concerned as to what the new currency will be called - "South Pacific Peso", or perhaps "Ditch Dollars"

It seems those pesky New Zealanders aren't interested in you Aussies. Oh well!

Hey!

We invited them to join in on Federation back in the 1890's and they decided to go it alone.

No second chances!

It's Pharlap, not Farlap.

Hmm. Currency will be US dollars, of course, if things keep going the way they are.

However, I would seriously prefer the Kiwis bring Rugby Union to 'the mainland' in a big way – we could all learn the hakka, and the Aussies and Wallabies can stop whingeing about how intimidating and unsporting the hakka is! It's supposed to be! It's a bloody war dance, for crying out loud!

I guess the Aussie are more used to that quieter undercurrent of violence that is sledging - you know, calling blokes 'girls' and suggesting that their oponents' mothers/wives/girlfriends are sleeping with the aussies...

And we can gladly give them back Russel Crowe.
