Delete

I've been wondering about the way some people delete their blogs and start again. Usually as part of some up and down manic ride but the problem, as I see it, with destroying a blog is that it doesn't have the same cathartic benefit as say, the bang and clamor of smashing up the kitchen or the warm firelight glow of burning your novel.

just the cold careless neon reply of the monitor.

I am on my third blog, mainly because of strange people who stalked me, but I have never deleted the others. I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I exactly agree with you. It kinda had no effect at all. I saved all the posts but I dunno what to do with them. hehe
Aaaand smashing up the kitchen felt so much better! ; )

Oh yes it does feel good. I'm quite an expert on hitting delete and each time I do it I feel better.
For about two days...and then I just feel like a big prat. But I also don't even care! It's a glorious non-caring, lack of consequences thing because it's. just. a. dumb. blog.

I used to keep an old radiator from a Ford Capri in my garage. It was great for beating with a hammer when my teenage frustrations got the better of me. Nowadays I just sigh and await death.

Inchy - I be reading you mate, that's one bent little corner of the interwebs you preside over. I love it.

I've deleted a blog or two. It wasn't very satisfying.

i found that cutting of the blood supply and letting it wither slowly has some cathartic release.

I could never delete my blog. I've thought about it many a time but I know I'd just keep writing so there'd be no point.

It is just a blog, but I've had it for years, it would seem like a wasted effort in a way.
