I LOVE THIS!!!

I especially love the Vegemite on the table.

That is SUCH a typical Aussie thing.

And yes, they're so freakin' fast!!!

Great vid!!

It's a Heteropoda venatoria (brown huntsman) I used to just let them walk on my hands but about ten years ago one went up my sleeve and mauled my inner forearm. Hurt like a bitch so I do the oh so brave paper and bowl routine now. I'm always amazed at just how fast they go,

Wait. What? said...

I think if you had eight legs you would be pretty darn fast as well -I just get the heebie jeebies with spiders...

I just came thisclose to throwing up all over my desk at work...the minute that thing started to walk. Ugh. Turns out I really don't like spiders. Who knew?

I enjoy your video series. You guys have interesting bitey and stingy things down there.

That is a big...big spider. But no matter, spiders die when they come anywhere near me. And it doesn't matter how fast they are either.

Its great how calm the kids are... they'll obviously grow up not to scream like a psychotic banshee everytime they see an insect.

Unlike my housemate.

Fuck that, that’s what guns are for. My skin is thick against most things but spiders.....no no

Oh your Sydney accent! So refined :)

Good for you for being nature boy and letting the spider go. My spiders tend to go someplace different.

Like heaven.

P.s CUTE KIDS!!

They're not exactly small are they?

I love our wildlife. Nothing says 'fark off' like our animals!

I had a dream about this spider last night! No joke...
You and your blog have invaded my dreams. And your creepy spiders.

Could you train one of those up a bit and use it to guard the house?

cat > I've only got three so I'm not that fast

Laura > They really are nice a cute - fizzy like a kitten

xl > ... and these are just the critters in a Sydney garden

Spiky Zora Jones > it's actually a small one - seriously, it's tinny.

Benediction > No drama

Friday > No - they're cute. Just show him the door.

Ben > I want to make sure they don;t crash the car and die when they find one under the mirror and to have a healthy respect for the wildlife without trying to kill everything

Bo Bo > But they look back at you with so much love in each of their eight eyes?

Sparsely kate > Thanks, I think - I blame my accent on my edumacation.

Pphishez > When wombats attack

Ute > Surly a country girl like yourself would have experience with huntsmen.

Laura > :-) I'll post on the brawn snake skin we found in the neighbors garden if you like.

Sweet Cheeks > Sure, and get the geckos to do the barking
